GRD To Join Chamber At Broadway Location

The Granville Recreation District (GRD) Board of Trustees passed a resolution at their January 21, 2010 meeting to share office space and storefront on Broadway with the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce.  The GRD will sublet space leased by the chamber at 125 Broadway beginning in March and share other operational functions, details of which will be worked out in the coming weeks.

The GRD action Thursday night marks the first official move leading up to what could be the Granville Visitor & Information Center. The chamber is seeking the support and cooperation of Denison University, Granville Township, Village of Granville and GRD in the development of the center that will function as an information and referral service for the Granville area. The commitment by the GRD to share the space, and share staffing functions, is one step in the cooperative effort making the visitor and information center possible for the community.
